A tooth is such a sensitive part of our life which is more prone to decay comparatively other body parts. Tooth decay is one of the most familiar health problems in the whole world and it is very frequent in kids, teenagers and old age people but anyone can be the victim of tooth decay problem including infants. A man without a tooth can never enjoy the flavors of life so before it gets too late to protect your teeth, just wake up and save it from tooth decay.

What is Tooth Decay?
Tooth decay is actually a damage of tooth that takes place when bacteria make acids in your mouth that may lead even a hole in the tooth that is widely known as cavity. If the problem is not treated timely, it may results in toothache, infection and even in tooth loss. The more layers of a tooth are affected by bacteria, the more horrible the destruction is.

Reasons of Tooth Decay:
·         Not to brush up and floss your teeth properly.
·         Not to go for regular checkups and proper cleaning.
·         Being fond of having such food that is high in carbohydrates and sugar.    
·         Not having enough fluoride that helps preventing tooth decay.
·         Not having an adequate amount of saliva as it helps washing away food and destructive sugars and gives a strong protection against tooth decay.
·         Having a dry mouth for a long time; caused by a number of reasons like breathing from mouth or taking certain medicines.
·         Having an addiction of smoking or chewing tobacco.

Tooth Decay Treatment:
·         Brush up your teeth regularly at least twice a day.
·         Use fluoride toothpaste and a good quality toothbrush.
·         Clean up your teeth daily with interdental cleaner.
·         Eat balanced and nutritious meals.
·         Avoid junk food, chocolates and limit snacking.
·         Stay away from starchy and sugary food.
·         Visit your family dentist on a regular basis for check-ups.
·         Be sure for oral examination and professional cleanings.
